Barry Bonds Homeruns in Safco |

A month ago, I had a post about the possibility of the Seattle Mariners signing free agent Barry Bonds in order to beef up their hitting threat. Well it looks like that idea is still on the minds of sports fans because the LA Times has just printed an article speculating on why Bonds has not been signed and why the Mariners have not made an offer. Here is why the Mariners could benefit from Barry Bonds homeruns, they are the worst in the league this year when looking at on-base percentage and hitting percentage. Seattle is not doing it offensively.
The funny thing is no team has asked him to even an interview. The MLB is investigating the possibility of free agent collusion to keep players like Bonds or Clemens off the field. Seattle is tied for last place with the Rangers in the American League so I don’t see how Barry Bonds homeruns could hurt. What do they have to lose? The Mariners have not been a playoff threat since “Mojo Magic” was being chanted in the Kingdome. Bonds record breaking homerun should not be his last.
