Barry Bonds Homeruns Attracting Mets |

Barry Bonds homeruns have attracted the New York Mets to a possible trade deal after their star Moises Alou was injured. The Mets to my knowledge are the first team to actively pursue a possible deal to acquire Bonds. Many have voiced their concerns about the idea of this deal. Bonds record breaking homerun may have won him an asterisk ridden spot in the Hall of Fame but it has led to a ruined MLB All-Star reputation. The Mets could obviously use him as a hitter but at what cost?
I am not going to lie, I really am not a huge MLB fan. I follow the major happenings of the sport and once was an avid fan but the sport has lost some of its luster because of the seldom action. I feel that Bonds on any team will do one positive thing and that is increase team publicity. No matter how he does or how he is received their will be negative backlash to whoever picks him up. Barry Bonds homeruns have been lost in the sea of steroid usage. The Mets are only considering the possible player acquisition. |
