No Barry Bonds Homeruns Leads to Union Grievance |

Since no team has decided to pick up the one-time San Francisco Giant great, the MLB player’s union is threatening to file a grievance against all MLB owners who are suspected of collusion to keep more Barry Bonds homeruns from the fans. While this is all speculation it does make sense why no team has picked him up. Come on, Bonds record breaking homerun was great but there was nothing else that could have turned the mood sour quicker then finding out all his homeruns were due to muscle enhancers. The public outcry to any team that picked up Bonds could potentially hurt the rest of the team in declining ticket sales and support.
This news came after a interview with Arte Moreno, owner of the Angels who said, “I can't speak for the other owners, but I will not sign Barry Bonds (latimes.com),” on HBO. There is a lot of thought going into figuring out why we aren’t seeing Barry Bonds homeruns this season but I think he brought it on himself so he should back off. If offers come his way this or next season then good for him.
