Barry Bonds Homeruns will Not Be in Yankees Uniform |

There had been some talk recently of the New York Yankees picking up Barry Bonds after Hldeki Matsui injured himself to the point of not returning for the rest of the season. This is a huge blow to the Yankee’s confidence and something has to be done to fill Matsui’s spot. In a recent quote from Brian Cahsman of the Yankees, he voiced his opinion on brining Barry Bonds homeruns to NYC, “I would say any rampant speculation on us involving a player of that magnitude would be extremely premature (newsday.com).”
If any fan base could embrace Barry Bonds homeruns, I think it would be Yankee fans. They do not shy away from controversy and for as long as I can remember have been hated by many for their huge bankroll. A problem with bringing Barry Bonds to the NYC squad is that he is old and that is not what the team is looking for right now. I wonder how much Bonds wants for a season long contract. I hope he still doesn’t think he is worth a lot of money. Will Barry Bonds homeruns ever be seen again in professional baseball?
