In the latest chapter of his ongoing struggles with the law, Homerun King Barry Bonds has filed a motion to have perjury charges dismissed against him. With allegations of steroid use and then lying about it to federal investigators, Barry Bonds homeruns, even Bonds record breaking homerun, and his 7 major-league baseball MVP awards, may not be enough to save him from jail time. According to a story posted on the CBS Sports web page, "Barry Bonds requested Wednesday that a federal judge toss out perjury charges against him, calling them 'scattershot.' Bonds, 43, was indicted last Nov. 15 and pleaded not guilty Dec. 7 to four charges of perjury and one count of obstruction of justice. Barry Bonds has filed a motion to have perjury charges tossed out. The indictment was the culmination of a four-year federal investigation into whether baseball's home run king lied under oath to a San Francisco grand jury looking into steroid use in 2003." With all of these charges against him, even people who are enthralled with Barry Bonds homerun video must be a little disgusted with him by now.
