Bonds record breaking homerun is all but forgotten now; lost in the sea of controversy that surrounded his steroid use. Now that Barry Bonds has been let go from the San Francisco Giants he needs to find a new place to go and that place is not the retirement home. He is adamant about finding a new field to practice and play on. The San Francisco Giants made their way to my neck of the woods in Scottsdale, Arizona to begin preseason training. Bonds was nowhere to be found (follow this link: http://youtube.com/watch?v=izSyUkPCfWo). Barry Bonds homeruns are having no effect on him finding a new ball club.
News sources have reported that Bonds is ready to play physically and mentally, now we just have to figure out where. If you were a coach, would you want to take on this challenge? Is it a challenge? As long as he is monitored for steroid use, I think he could be a significant factor to any MLB team. Bonds record breaking homerun has to mean something to at least a losing ball club. We will see later in the spring.
