Giants without Barry Bonds Homeruns |

The San Francisco Giants opened their season yesterday in LA against the Dodgers. The game ended in a 2-3 loss that makes me wonder how this team is going to do in the West without Barry Bonds homeruns. Bonds record breaking homerun had the eyes of the entire country on the Giants without him many predict that they will have a very weak season this year.
The Giants will get another chance to chalk up their first win today when they meet the Dodgers again in LA. After the Dodgers comes a weekend filled with three games against the Milwaukee Brewers. Losing Bonds to Balco is similar to what the Atlanta Falcons felt after losing Vick to dog fighting. The team will need to find another slugger to beef up their lineup. Who knows if we will ever see Barry Bonds homeruns again but I can guarantee that the Giants will not be able to fill his shoes in the coming seasons especially if they aren’t able to perform this year. This is the Giants chance to play around with their lineup. |
