To give Barry Bonds homeruns respect they should have been accumulated based on his talent and work in the batters box and weight room, not on the use of performance enhancing drug use. What does this sat to the youth of America ? Drug use is ok as long as long as you break a record? Not in my book. Bonds record breaking homerun was viewed by little league players, high school athletes, college and minor league players as an example of "look what I can do if I become a pumped up hulk through the use of steroids". Is this the impression to teach out youth or should we be teaching hard work, team play, and do your best? What is a real shame is Barry Bonds was blessed with the talent to break the homerun record fairly.
