A-Rod should be an example to every MLB player when it comes to figuring out contract terms. As you have probably heard, the Yankees offered Alex Rodriguez another outrageous 300 million dollar contract to stay with the team for ten more years.

Along with the agreed upon contract A-Rod will be paid more for breaking significant homerun records including the one set by Bonds record breaking homerun. If he can break Bonds record breaking homerun he will receive an additional 6 million dollars. That is something I like to call incentives. The contract is still in the finalizing process but it only looks good for A-Rod. Who would have thought there would be a price put out on breaking Barry Bonds homeruns? A-Rod better start studying up with a Barry Bonds homerun video so that he can emulate the upper deck swing style. The 6 million dollars does not only go for breaking Bonds record but also ones set by Willie Mays, Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron. It is weird to think A-Rod is being put into the race to break these kinds of records.
